4th Annual Toy Drive: Toys for Our Boys

Four years ago, I was planning Mia's first birthday and thinking of how I would get through the first anniversary of Parker's death. The thought was daunting.  I could not bear celebrating one child and not doing anything for the other.  I knew I had to do something to keep his memory alive while helping others.  We decided that we would take the money we would have spent on Parker's party, to buy toys for kids in the hospital.  Over the years, it has become our tradition.  A tradition that we call:
Toys for My Boys
We use boys (plural) as we donate these toys to Johns Hopkins where Paxton also had his heart surgery.  We are so grateful for his health we want to celebrate that as well.
Toys for My Boys was a success again this year.

On September 7th, we had Paxton's 2 year Cardiology follow up and took the toys up that day.  It is always an emotional day for me.  It is a day to celebrate my sons and their life and a day to bring joy to other kids who are not as fortunate.

We Love You Parker Kennedy and Paxton Christopher.
